Climate Impacts Research Capacity Leadership Enhancement (CIRCLE) Programme which has been supported by Department for International Development (DFID), African Academy of Sciences (AAS), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) has made significant impact on Early Career Researchers in Africa. I am particularly happy that the pool of next generation of researchers are having their capacity built up for the future. I am more excited about the Mentorship scheme which has obviously been missing in our institutions. I am happy to be a stakeholder in this regard and will want to do all within my powers to strengthen this campaign. The University of Port Harcourt has particularly benefited as adequate sensitization within the University is helping young researcher redefine their stance on research
